Does anyone know a good place to stay in Cortina? There are 12 of us going out in early September for a climbing holiday - I suppose we could camp but a chalet/house or hostel would be ideal. Thanks for any info.
Cheers

Hi,

It's a relativley expensive place, nothing like chamonix. Most
Italians go on hols in aug so you should get somewhere, I tend
to stay at either Lake Misurina - cheap and cheerful - or
Campeggio Dolomiti, along from Cortina, better facilities.

Very nice campsite down by the river on the outskirts..... can't remember the name though. Its on a bus route and has a pizzeria at the back fence, ideal! Few cheap shops in town so don't forget yer kit! Buses to the tre cima, cinque torre etc are useful I seem to remember......
